CONGRATULATIONS to our own volunteer and Board member, Mike Burnam ...
... who received Yakima Rotary Club’s “Unsung Hero” award
An "Unsung Hero" is an individual from our community who goes above and beyond "service about self", Rotary International’s motto. Unsung Heroes demonstrate the following characteristics:
- they are not paid for what they do
- they have not received previous recognition for what they do
- they are the "worker bees" as opposed to the "chiefs"
- they would generally be defined as quiet miracle workers and
- they are not Rotarians
