As
Prime Time grows, so do the physical and operational needs. This means
that there is a need to continue to seek financial support from individuals,
corporations, and foundations.
Prime Time has always made a great effort in stretching its donations
to the fullest extent possible. As an example, the water treatment plant
is valued at $119,000. Yet it was built for a cash outlay of $26,000 by
using volunteers, donated materials, and services. The sewer system is
valued at $49,000 and it was built for less than $23,000. The new duplex
cabins are valued at $200,000 but were built for $20,000.
Membership Support
You are encouraged to become a member of Camp Prime Time! The income
generated from membership fees will help fund the operation of the camp.
In return for your yearly membership fee, you will receive a membership
card, subscription to the semi-annual newsletter, which is loaded with
information about camp, and discounts to Prime Time sponsored activities.
Of course, more than any item that could be offered to you as a member,
will be the opportunity to become even more connected to this special
camp. With your membership, you become part of something you can take
pride in…the building of special memories.

Whichever way you may choose to support Prime Time, please know that
you are making a tremendous difference in the lives of the families that
utilize Camp Prime Time.
- Cash gifts – Please mail directly to Prime
Time, Inc, 6 S. 2nd Street, Suite 802, Yakima, WA 98901
- Tribute gifts – Gifts of remembrance of the
passing on of a loved one or a birthday are a great way to help Prime
Time continue to meet the day-to-day needs of camp.
- Gifts of Securities – Charitable gift annuities
and charitable remainder trusts are a means to generate a source of
payments for life. You may fund your gifts with either cash or appreciated
securities – the choice depends on your specific goals. By using
this method of donation, your gift qualifies you for a substantial charitable
income – tax deduction.
- Annual Fund – With a goal to increase the camp
season from 17 camps to 22 camps, the number of people that can be served
will increase. As a result, the operating budget will continue to grow.
This means your annual gift is needed more than ever.
- Endowment Fund – Gifts to this fund are perpetual
and will also secure the future of Camp Prime Time. It is truly “a
gift with a future”. The benefit to you will be knowing the income
generated by the legacy you leave will support the camp and programs
for many years to come.
Participate
There are many ways to support Camp Prime Time. One is by volunteering
in the following ways.
Camp
– Volunteers are always in demand and generally work from late Friday
afternoon through early Sunday afternoon. Duties include food preparation,
cleaning, and assisting with organized recreation activities such as boat
rides or campfire programs.
Work Parties – Volunteers are needed for opening
camp in May and closing of camp in October. Skilled project workers such
as carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and other specialized trades are
always needed.
Special Events – Volunteers are needed to help
coordinate the Prime Time biennial Dinner and Auction fundraising event.
A tree recycling service is provided every year after Christmas in the
towns of Yakima and Naches, which needs many volunteers to keep it running
smoothly.
Partner
A way to partner with Camp Prime Time is to give Gifts in Kind. These
gifts come from individuals, corporations, and organizations. They consist
of food, camp supplies, construction materials, and recreational products.
Fundraisers
Camp Prime Time relies heavily on volunteer involvement to support our
fundraising efforts – and volunteers have responded with amazing
commitment and creativity. Check out the Special
Events page to see what’s coming soon. If you would like to
help with a fundraiser, organize one, or have ideas for a new one, please
contact the Prime Time office.
