Universally Accessible Treehouse and Nature Interpretive Center

... a work in progress

A universally accessible treehouse will allow all children, even those confined to wheelchairs, to experience the thrill of "climbing" into a treehouse; of being up with the birds, feeling the trees sway, and seeing the world from a new vantage point. Not only will it be a cool place for kids to enjoy and play in, it will serve as a nature interpretive center and/or trailhead which will help deepen their understanding of the natural world around them. Having an accessible treehouse will truly enrich the experience of our families as they relax, connect with nature, and enjoy a much needed break from the complex stresses related to caring for a child with a serious illness or disability.
